It was my FAVORITE go to language learning app, unfortunately they reconfigured it to require hearts as "lives" and when you run out you can't proceed without subscribing for a monthly fee. It used to be a fun way to learn and I learned alot with positive reinforcement, now with the aspect of making a mistake while your learning it's no longer fun just a countdown until you run out of lives. It is a real shame.

I'm changing my review, as the woman speaking Japanese is terrible. She speaks to fast and it sounds nothing like the options. My wife who's Japanese has to say it for me, she hardly understands what shes saying, she has to look at my phone and read it. My wife says she sounds like a Chinese person trying to speak Japanese. The guys voice is fine. I'm extremely close at giving up, it's to annoying, learning Japanese is difficult enough.

I don't personally like this app, because it's not that effective. Yes, it is fun to try this but I'm not able to learn like that it's just too slow. Maybe u can, u must try it. The thing i hate the most is that u have hearts. If you're like me, then it's just annoying cuz i need to do 10 or more lessons in a day, but i can't because i dont have hearts left. + it's quarantine, so i can learn languages only on the internet. I really liked this app before but after that premium bullsh*t i stoped.

It's a good app overall. It has many errors and the voice is quite mechanical. Often the sentences are formed in a weird manner. But it's still a good way to start. The tournament idea was really cool and I tried to complete all of it. It was kind of disappointing and it gets boring when you reach diamond league and continue staying there even after getting 1st place. I expected something more similar to "congrats, you have completed the tournaments" and thats it. Would be nice changing this.
